She was born at Yarrawonga within Victoria, Australia. Her father got married Ojales at the age of 22 in 1982. Jasmine is her older sister. is also an actor. Clare is a cousin of theirs on the father's end. Clare passed away at four months old in 2007 due to a cardio-vascular disease.
